RENOWNED gospel outfit Vocal Ex is preparing to stage its gospel extravaganza that will feature performances from artistes, Andrea the Vocalist, Sebastian Magacha, Nkwali and Knowledge Nkiwane at the Family of God (Fog) auditorium next month.
The event on September 16 promises to be a soul-stirring experience, bringing together exceptional talent from the gospel music industry.
Vocal Ex founder, Thembelani Mdlaziba said the event aims to unite music enthusiasts, offering them an unforgettable evening of praise, worship, and musical excellence.
“It’ll be a live ensemble of praising and worshipping God through various genres of music. It’ll be a great music fellowship and a collective praise and worship time as we adore our Lord, Jesus Christ through dance and song.
“It’s going to be a great family event as well so people should come in numbers and expect to have a great time,” he said.
Mdlaziba said having such a line-up adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation to their upcoming performance.
“We’re set to have great friends, award-winning artistes and fellow gospel musicians in the form of Andrea the Vocalist, Sebastian Magacha, Nkwali and Knowledge Nkiwane. We’ll also have iWorship Immovables and Christ Connect as groups set to share the day and stage with us.
“We feel blessed and honoured to have these guys as we have created relationships that have made our paths to meet yet again. We might have a surprise performance, but that will be left to be a surprise,” he said.
The concert is set to start at 4pm with the Vocal Ex founder saying preparations for the event are going on well.
Vocal Ex, a talented group known for their harmonious vocals and heartfelt lyrics has been making waves in the Zimbabwean gospel music scene for several years.
With their unique blend of contemporary and traditional gospel sounds, they have a dedicated fan base and have earned critical acclaim.
“We are a contemporary gospel music group. We sing all genres of music, as the group is an ensemble of gifted young Christians from various denominations. Collectively, we’ve been brought together by the gift and our calling as music ministers unto the glory of God,” Mdlaziba explained.
Andrea the Vocalist said he cannot wait to perform at the concert which will also be his first time performing in Bulawayo.
“I’m excited to be performing in Bulawayo and I look forward to sharing the stage with artistes that I’ve always looked up to like Sebastian Magacha. Also, we’ll share our exciting new project with Vocal Ex.
“I’m looking forward to sharing some of the projects that I did in Harare as well if they’ll be ready by then,” Andrea the Vocalist said.
Tickets to the concert are already on sale at various outlets in Bulawayo. — @TashaMutsiba
