Blessings Chidakwa-Zimpapers Elections Desk
Zengeza East residents have been urged to vote for Zanu PF in the August 23 elections for them to witness rapid development in the area.
Addressing Zengeza East residents yesterday during a Health Expo for the community, Zanu PF candidate for Zengeza East Constituency Cde Kiven Mutimbanyoka said all council candidates in the area had the capacity to transform the area, led by the pro-development policies enunciated by President Mnangagwa.
“President Mnangagwa is doing wonders. He is the President and has done very well to develop this country,” he said.
“You should vote for us, his lieutenants and see what we are capable of doing.”
Cde Mutimbanyoka said after leading Chitungwiza Municipality to prosperity when he was mayor, he now has the qualities to become a legislator, and further develop the area.
The Zengeza East Health Expo started on Saturday and ended yesterday. Cde Mutimbanyoka said there was need for a healthy population to achieve the National Development Strategy 1 and Vision 2030 of an empowered upper middle class society.
He said for the country to move forward smoothly, people must be healthy, hence the decision to hold the health expo in the constituency.
“President Mnangagwa came up with NDS1 and to achieve that there should be a healthy population,” said Cde Mutimbanyoka.
“As such, the purpose of this expo is to have a healthy population. We want our people to be treated of various ailments.”
Cde Mutimbanyoka thanked his wife and Dr Obadiah Moyo for providing medication.
Zanu PF’s Zengeza East candidates for council who included Cdes Tatenda Chipungudzanye of Ward 13, Taurai Chivanga of Ward 14, Agrippa Makwavarara of Ward 15, Tendai Sithole of Ward 20 and Vusimuzi Moyo of Ward 21, also attended the health expo.
Cde Chipungudzanye said it was time voters applied their minds, and not their hearts when they elect representatives on August 23.
“The council has been run down over years by the opposition and it is high time there is proper service delivery,” he said.
“The council needs new ideas from people who are development-oriented. None but ourselves can develop our country.”
Forever Associates Zimbabwe (FAZ), Chitungwiza Central Hospital, Yemurai Funeral Services and Doctors Ancillary and Nurses4ED, Dr Moyo and Mrs Mutimbanyoka, were some of the key sponsors of the health expo.
