VICE President Dr Constantino Chiwenga has arrived in Victoria Falls, where he is set to officiate at the Africa Chromium Week conference, representing President Mnangagwa.

The conference, organised by the ICDA, brings together global industry leaders, Government representatives, and stakeholders under the theme of sustainable development across the chromium value chain.

The conference is expected to foster partnerships for responsible mining, promoting local value addition, and advancing Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 of becoming an upper-middle-income economy.

Discussions will focus on critical topics including the integration of Zimbabwe into global critical raw materials value chains, infrastructure development, and investment needs for the mining sector.

A special “Zimbabwe Leaders Talk” session will explore the country’s role in responsibly producing critical raw materials while driving economic growth.

President Mnangagwa, represented by Vice President Chiwenga is set to deliver the keynote address and officially open the conference, which has attracted high-level participation from industry captains across Southern Africa and beyond.
