VP Chiwenga evaluates key projects in Gwanda

Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga is in Gwanda today as he continues his tour of Matabeleland South Province to assess high-impact economic projects.

The tour is part of Government’s efforts to give more impetus to developmental projects.

Dr Chiwenga’s itinerary includes three pivotal stops today – the Tuli-Manyange Dam, which plays a vital role in enhancing water supply and irrigation capabilities; the Garanyemba Drought Mitigation Centre, designed to address the challenges posed by drought and ensure food security; and the Gwanda Lithium Mine, a key player in the burgeoning lithium sector, which is expected to contribute significantly to the national economy.

During his visits, the Vice President is expected to engage with local stakeholders, assess the progress of these projects, and discuss further investment opportunities.
