VP Constantino Chiwenga is today (Wednesday) officiating at the burial of the late liberation hero Cde Clement Moyo who is being laid to rest at his homestead in Masibambane Village under Chief Sebasa, Insiza District.
He is accompanied by his wife Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi Chiwenga.

Also present is the Minister of State for Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Albert Nguluvhe.
Cde Moyo died at the age of 70.

President Mnangagwa conferred a Liberation War Hero status to the late Cde Moyo who died on 8 February 2026.
Cde Moyo is survived by his wife Musawenkosi Dube and one child.
He was born in Masibambeneni Village on 11 November 1955.

He did his primary at Singwango No 1 Primary where his did his education up to Standard 4.
Cde Moyo worked at Mishies Hotel, formerly Gwanda Hotel and Progress Filling Station in Filabusi before joining the liberation struggle. He did his training in Angola.

He joined the liberation struggle in 1977 at the age of 22. He went to Zambia where he briefly stayed at Nampundwe and then Maheba at Base 3
After the bombardment at Maheba he went to Angola for military training, after which he operated at Binga, Kamativi and Hwange areas.
At ceasefire Cde Moyo went to Gwayi Assembly Point. He was integrated into the Zimbabwe National Army on 7 May 1981.
He retired from the army in 2000 having attained rank of Sergeant
