VP Chiwenga urges researchers to foster sustainable development

VICE President Constantino Chiwenga has urged researchers to foster sustainable development to ensure national security.

Speaking at the 13th Zimbabwe International Research Symposium, Vice President Chiwenga said the symposium has

highlighted the utilisation of specific results generated by current research in Zimbabwe and the unique opportunities they

bring.

The symposium is running under the theme ‘Embracing research and innovation for sustainable industrialisation.’

“These researches are expected to foster a sustainable environment and resource management that will help in information

communication technology, humanities, social sciences, and national security,” Vice President Chiwenga said.

“The symposium is a platform that fosters a dynamic exchange of ideas across all sectors of the economy, including the

application of research findings in policy and practice.”

Vice President Chiwenga said institutions from various economic sectors are exhibiting diverse research, innovation, and

technology products.
