VICE President Kembo Mohadi this morning commissioned 55 Public Service Commission buses procured by the Government to ease transportation challenges facing civil servants across the country.
The buses were commissioned on the sidelines of the Public Service Commission (PSC) Retirement Conference 2026 and will be distributed to different provinces, with five buses allocated to Manicaland.
The fleet is expected to strengthen the transportation of public servants, particularly those who face challenges commuting to and from work, while improving punctuality and service delivery.
The Government earlier this year approved the procurement of 128 buses as part of measures to address transport challenges affecting its workforce.
So far, 55 buses have been procured and will be deployed nationally.
Vice President Mohadi’s commissioning of the buses marks another step in the Government’s efforts to improve conditions for public servants and enhance efficiency within the public service.
The provision of the dedicated transport is expected to ease the daily burden on workers who rely on public transport, while supporting Government’s broader drive to improve public service delivery.
