Vice President Kembo Mohadi has this afternoon commissioned the Jairos Jiri Centre Business Unit in Masvingo City that will transform the lives of people living with disabilities in the province.
The Vice President officially launched the business unit in Mucheke suburb, where he is officially opening the 2026 National Disability Expo.
More than 500 exhibitors are showcasing their products at the expo that kicked off on Wednesday.
The expo is taking place at Mucheke Stadium. The Jairos Jiri Centre Business Unit, commissioned by the Vice President, comprises a piggery project, an aquaculture project and market gardening.
The project will help Jairos Jiri Training Centre generate income for the centre that offers life skills to people living with disabilities.
Jairos Jiri Training Centre was teetering on the brink of collapse owing to years of underfunding and the opening of a business centre unit will breathe new life into the facility.
The opening of a business unit at Jairos Jiri dovetails with the Second Republic’s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind.
