VP Mohadi officially opens 2026 National Disability Expo

VICE PRESIDENT Kembo Mohadi has officially opened the 2026 National Disability Expo at Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo.

The VP was representing President Mnangagwa.

More than 500 exhibitors were showcasing their products at the expo that was hosted by Masvingo Province this year on a rotational basis.

The expo kicked off on Wednesday and ends today. The highlight of this year’s expo was exhibitions by people living with disabilities and a roadshow that saw musical performances by people living with disabilities dominating the 3-day event.

Before officially opening the expo VP Mohadi first officially opened the Jairos Jiri Centre Business Unit in the ancient city.

In his address, President Mnangagwa reaffirmed the Second Republic’s commitment to improve the lot of persons living with disabilities in sync with the ” leave no one and no place behind” mantra.

The President announced a Presidential Empowerment package for people living with disabilities.

The package comprises 50 goats under the Presidential Goat Scheme and 60 pigs under the Presidential Piggery Project.

The empowerment package includes agricultural land, residential stands and mining equipment to be distributed equitably across the country’s 10 provinces.
