VICE President Col (Rtd) Kembo Mohadi is conducting a tour of the Victoria Falls Border Post aimed at appreciating the extensive systems upgrades recently implemented at the port of entry.

Vice President Mohadi was received by Matabeleland North Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Richard Moyo, Deputy Ministers Musa Ncube, Albert Mazungunye, Raj Modi, service chiefs, senior Government officials and border control agencies.

Vice President Mohadi is on a familiarisation visit to witness first-hand the operational efficiency brought about by the modernisation of immigration and customs systems.

During the tour, VP Mohadi is expected to inspect various departments, including the newly installed integrated border management system designed to reduce traveller clearance times and enhance security.

The upgrades form part of the Second Republic’s broader strategy to modernise ports of entry under the leadership of President Mnangagwa, facilitating trade and tourism.

Officials on the ground are set to brief the Vice President on the progress made in decongesting the border and improving the seamless movement of people and goods between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
