Illustration craftsman with an eye for extraordinary scenes Vusa Blaqs says working with Jah Prayzah has been a blessing since his move to the Sunshine City.

“When I came to Harare I was alone. I didn’t have friends and everything. It was kind of difficult for me . . . by the time I got to work with Military Touch to begin with, then Jah Prayzah, it was like me finding my creative brothers.

“Brothers that understand who I am, and at the same time doing wonders all over the continent, like you’ve seen,” said the video-smith.

Blaqs’ work cannot go unnoticed as the craftstar has proved his prowess once again on Jah Prayzah’s recently released song video dubbed Asante.

Released on 10 February, the Budiriro appreciation song is already topping the charts, #1 trending on worldwide virtual channel, YouTube.

Renowned videographer Vusa “Blaqs” Hlatshwayo who scooped the Best Videographer award at the recently held Zima awards seems to be many artistes’ favourite for visuals but to him working with Jah Prayzah and team is his favourite.

Vusa Blaqs and Jah Prayzah’s relationship

Multi-award winning Blaqs has been coming top in many award nominations through his works with Jah Prayzah and worth noting was the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) nominations late last year, courtesy of Jah Prayzah’s Dzamutsana.

“We are just going with the vibe, we like working together, the sky is the limit for us as a team.

“Working with Jah Prayzah and the whole stable has been a learning curve. More is yet to come, you can only sign contracts with people that love your work, and right now working with people that love my work is all that matters,” said Blaqs.
