Women’s Entrepreneurship: Changing the Face of Business”, will be held on September 28 in Harare.
The association is an affiliate of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce.
ZNCC chief executive Mr Andrew Matiza said in a statement that the conference was aimed at further empowering women as part of the broader economic transformation of the country.
“Women’s economic empowerment is one of the most effective tools used to ensure that not only do women participate in the transformation of the society within which they live, but that they also play an active role in the country’s democratic process as well.
“It is this realisation that has led ZNCC to craft strategies that are aimed at equipping women with the tools they need to successfully participate in rebuilding the Zimbabwean economy,” he said.
He said it was critical that Government and the private sector continue engaging on women empowerment issues.
“One of these strategies is the facilitation of more constructive engagement between Government and business associations in dealing with issues concerning policies and regulations that address the needs of women in business.”
