Members of the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (Zimura) will start receiving their 2024 royalties in US dollars tomorrow.
The members will be paid a total of US$200 000 collected from the ZBC and general royalties from night clubs, restaurants, bars, lodges, and hotels.
The money from other paid-up stations will be distributed at the end of August.
In a statement, Zimura said:
“The 2024 royalties will be paid from Monday 17 June 2024.
“The amount payable is from ZBC and the general related to ZBC.”
Zimura said royalties for Star FM, Diamond FM, Capitalk FM, Platinum FM, ZTN and Pachikomo (University of Zimbabwe Campus Radio) and the general related to them will be paid in August.
It has been established that ZiFM, Hevoi FM, 98.4 FM, Skyz FM, Breeze FM, YaFM, SKTV, Great Zimbabwe Campus Radio Station and Midlands State University Campus Radio Station were not up to date with their payments.
