A PUMULA North woman got the beating of her life at 3am, all because of a contact saved as “Wardrobe” in her phone!
Soames Ndlovu (38), appeared before magistrate Mehluli Moyo this week, after he allegedly turned into a human punching machine, accusing his wife, Sibusiso Dube, of cheating.

Like a bolt from the blue, in the early hours of 18 April 2025, Ndlovu reportedly shook his wife awake and began grilling her over nine unfamiliar numbers he found on her phone.

According to court papers, Sibusiso calmly explained eight of the contacts to her suspicious husband — but the ninth number, mysteriously saved as “Wardrobe”, left her tongue-tied.

That silence allegedly sent Ndlovu into a fit of rage. Without warning, he allegedly rained fists and Rick-Flair-like slaps all over her body, accusing her of playing bedroom games behind his back.

Neighbours say the commotion could be heard from the next street, as Dube screamed for help while trying to dodge her furious hubby’s blows.

“She tried to explain, but the guy was seeing red,” said a neighbour, who asked not to be named. “That ‘Wardrobe’ contact must have triggered something deep.”

The assault was later reported to the police, leading to Ndlovu’s arrest. He has since appeared in court but was not asked to plead, with the matter remanded for trial.

While the real identity behind “Wardrobe” remains unknown—this domestic dispute has spilled way beyond the closet!
