Warriors’ Cosafa fixture rescheduled

Sports Reporter

Zimbabwe’s opening game against Mozambique in the 2021 Cosafa Cup has been brought forward to midday tomorrow after the organisers were forced to reschedule the competition following the last-minute withdrawal of Madagscar.

The tournament will subsequently now have two groups only of five teams each, with Malawi being added to the Warriors’ pool which comprises Mozambique, Namibia and guest nation Senegal.

Zambia join Group A alongside hosts South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini.

The changes mean each team will now play an additional game, with the top two teams from each pool progressing to the semi-finals.

Zimbabwe’s fixtures:

vs Mozambique (July 7)

vs Malawi (July 9)

vs Namibia (July 11)

vs Senegal (July 13)
