TSHABALALA Warriors are the new kings of junior football after clinching the YFSSA Under-11 Sevens Tournament in a nail-biting final at Hartsfield Rugby Grounds in Bulawayo yesterday.

The tournament, hosted by Young Flying Stars Football Academy and sponsored by Toppers School Uniforms, featured seven sides battling it out in a fast-paced 7-a-side format.

Tshabalala Warriors booked their place in the final with a hard-fought 1-0 win over the hosts YFSSA (A). Lobengula United matched that scoreline in their semi-final against LaMasia E.M Sports Academy, setting up a mouth-watering showdown.

The final was a thriller, ending 1-1 in regulation time. The title was decided by a tense penalty shootout, with Tshabalala Warriors holding their nerve to win 5-4 and spark wild celebrations.

Other teams included YFSSA (B), Mountain Climbers, The Brazilians, and LaMasia.
Organisers hailed the tournament as a huge success, showcasing young talent while promoting discipline and community spirit.
