THE Warriors are packing their bags and their hopes for a do-or-die World Cup qualifier against Rwanda at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.
With Zimbabwe’s stadium crisis still unresolved, Orlando will once again roar with Warriors fans as the boys fight to salvage their floundering qualification dream.
Before locking horns with Rwanda, the Warriors will first face a stern test away in Benin on 1 September. But all eyes are on the Rwanda showdown — a match fans and players alike have dubbed “the turning point.”
The numbers aren’t pretty. Zimbabwe are bottom of Group C with just four points, tied with Lesotho. South Africa sit comfortably at the top with 13, while Rwanda and Benin have eight apiece, and Nigeria trail closely with seven.
Only the group winner books a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while the second-placed team will cling to hope through the playoffs.
Kick-off is at 3PM CAT.
