KHAMI Maximum Prison was on Friday turned into a fun filled venue where families of inmates spent the day interacting and enjoying sumptuous together as part of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) family week.
Every year ZPCS holds a family week day, seven days dedicated to giving inmates across all prisons in the country an opportunity to spend a fun filled day with their loved ones.
Children are also allowed behind the high prison walls during the family day.
The education hall at Khami Maximum Prison was filled to the brim with families enjoying braaied meat, snacks and cold drinks with inmates.
At the centre of Khami Maximum Prison, an open space within the confines of the rehabilitation facility, inmates enjoyed music and danced away the afternoon courtesy of a Khaya Arts and a bread company.
