Pioneer healthcare professional and community pillar Gogo Ellen Moyo has celebrated her 95th birthday, marking a milestone surrounded by the legacy she built over a distinguished career.
Gogo Moyo is recognised as Mpilo Central Hospital’s first black Matron, a role in which she broke barriers and set a standard for excellence in nursing. Her work is remembered for opening doors and leaving a lasting imprint on the profession.

The celebrations brought together dignitaries, former colleagues and fellow church members, reflecting the many lives she touched during her years of service. The gathering was a tribute to nearly a century of grace, dedication and commitment to both healthcare and community life.
