CHAOS gripped Holiday Inn Bulawayo yesterday morning as hotel guests and staff were hurriedly evacuated following what turned out to be a mock bomb scare drill gone wrong!

Outside, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) kept a tight watch while members of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) stormed the building, heightening the tension.
Hotel General Manager, Mr Moyo, initially confirmed suspicions of a bomb, urging calm as authorities “worked to ensure public safety.”
But just as hearts began to settle, the shocker dropped — it was all a mock drill!
“The safety drill was meant to test our response systems,” Mr Moyo told journalists. “But nobody told the guests!”
The incident sparked outrage and confusion, with many questioning the wisdom of pulling such a stunt without prior warning.
Stay tuned for more explosive details as we dig deeper into this “boom” rehearsal!
