HIGHLANDERS coach Pieter De Jongh says his team is in high spirits ahead of their highly anticipated clash against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium a side he has likened to the financial heavyweights Scottland.

De Jongh, who was at Platinum in 2020 and won the Castle Challenge Cup during his time there, will now face his former paymasters on Saturday.

“Of course, we want to win. FC Platinum are like Scottland, big budget, big money, big players, big coach. But we are in a good mood. We have registered one win in the league, a draw, and a win in the Chibuku Super Cup. These results bring a positive atmosphere and strong team spirit,” De Jongh.

However, De Jongh confirmed the squad is managing three injury concerns heading into the weekend encounter.
