BULAWAYO-based creative Dr Gasolo arrived in Bulawayo at 5.35pm to a resounding welcome at Amakhosi Theatre.
The artist was given a heroic salutation by Amabutho and Amatshitshi for his enduring walkathon, which started in the early hours of Thursday morning at Matshetsheni village in Gwanda District, Matabeleland South province and ended on Saturday late afternoon.
Amabutho and Amatshitshi welcomed him at the Welcome to Bulawayo signage along Bulawayo-Beitbridge highway just after Umguza River.
The welcome was a spirit of solidarity, cultural expression, signifying the spirit of Dr Gasolo’s campaign, which seeks to advocate for support of creatives by individuals and corporates in the country.
As part of giving emerging artistes a platform to showcase their talent, Dr Gasolo a show is being held in his honour with artistes namely Babygal 1tym, Mukazi The Love Poet, Mzali Wama 2K and Queen Nozy set to entertain the crowd.
The event is being hosted by MaDewa.
