The landmark event marked Mhere’s first-ever live DVD recording and also served as a celebration of his birthday.
In addition to Mhere and Mlalazi, the star-studded gospel gathering featured performances from Janet Manyowa, Canaan Nyathi, Joyfull Praise Choir, Takesure Zamar Ncube, Larry Gunda, and Sipho “Snowy” Moyo.
Mlalazi congratulated Mhere for successfully hosting the sold-out event, which attracted hundreds of gospel music lovers and worshippers.
“I was truly privileged and honoured to minister at Mathias Mhere’s The Covenant Live Recording and Album Launch this past weekend,” said Mlalazi.
“It was a beautiful atmosphere of worship, unity and God’s presence. I would like to congratulate my brother on this powerful milestone. May this covenant of praise touch many lives and draw souls closer to Christ.
“I also want to thank everyone who came through and worshipped with us. May all the glory forever belong to God.”
The successful event is expected to further cement Mhere’s position as one of Zimbabwe’s leading gospel musicians while adding another milestone to his illustrious career.
