The Bulawayo Fire Brigade is attending to flooding incidents affecting several western suburbs of the city, Chief Fire Officer Mr Mhlangano Moyo confirmed on Tuesday evening.

Bulawayo experienced heavy rains from the afternoon into the evening in Tuesday.

According to Mr Moyo, the hardest-hit areas include Luveve 5, Emakhandeni and Pelandaba West.

“The flooding has been attributed to weep hole issues, which have resulted in water accumulation in residential sections.

Emergency teams have been dispatched to assess the situation and assist affected residents.
