HIGHLANDERS interim coach Try Ncube took charge of the club’s weekly press conference but declined to comment on the possibility of new signings or the reported appointment of Dutchman Hendrick de Jongh as the new head coach.
The mid-season transfer window closes at the end of business on Thursday and Bosso appears to be keeping their cards close to their chest.
De Jongh is set to take over as head coach at the club, but the club is yet to officially make the announcement.
Ncube referred all related questions to the club’s administration.
Present at the press conference was outgoing Communications Officer Nozibelo Maphosa, who explained that the acting CEO, Kindman Ndlovu, was expected to attend the press conference but later failed to do so as he had to attend to an emergency.
Looking ahead to their clash against Ngezi Platinum Stars on Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium, Ncube revealed that Hubert Ncube, Mvelo Khoza, and Darlington Mukuli will undergo late fitness tests to determine their availability for the match. Captain, Andrew Mbeba remains sidelined.
