THE Bulawayo Country Club captain Eric Makarimayi is happy with the work put into fairways and greens ahead of the President’s Cup a golf tournament that starts on Tuesday and runs until Friday.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be for professionals with amateurs joining those in the paid ranks on Friday.
The lush green fairways and greens have been as a result of the good rains and good course management by grounds stuff.
“We have done some good preparations, we are ready to host the President’s, we have put in a lot of work on the fairways they are looking fantastic, the greens are also looking very good, we are more than ready to host the prestigious tournament,” said Makarimayi.
The event has attracted a number of local professionals with Robson Chinhoyi who sits at the top of the order of merit among the favourites in this Zimbabwe Professional Golfers Association sanctioned event.
