SOUTH Africa’s Big Zulu has a special place in his heart for Bulawayo and he proved this by expressing his love for the city in his new song, “Awufuni ukung’Qoma”, where he says he visited Bulawayo for a love potion to woo a woman.

The song is a hit on YouTube, with more than 230 000 views in three days.

The Inkabi Records boss is no stranger to Bulawayo and Matabeleland where he has performed several shows. He was welcomed by fans at the Joshua Nkomo International Airport for his latest gigs. He also has a loyal ally in LA Beatz, a son from Old Lobengula, who has produced some of his popular songs such as “Imali eningi” and “Ama million.”

The latest song, which was produced by Inkabi Records’ new talent, Xolwa, has received rave reviews from music lovers.

Nobubelo Nyathi said: “Big Zulu is the best, all Zimbabweans let’s gather here. We love you Big Zulu. Every time when I listen to your song ngizwa ngithaba. We love it.”

Sizwe Buthelezi said he “better go to Zimbabwe to fetch the love potion so he can love me back. I wanna see if you gonna escape from loving me.”

Big Zulu has also teamed up with Sjava to form the musical duo, “Inkabi Zezwe”, which has produced hits such as “Umbayimbayi” and “Sayona.”
