The atmosphere in the border town reached fever pitch on Easter Saturday as Macheso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo band delivered a spellbinding performance at Pagomba Café, drawing admiration and respect from all quarters.
Welcomed with the adoration he is renowned for, Macheso reciprocated with a sublime act that left attendees spellbound and filled with admiration.
His musical prowess was evident in every aspect of his performance, from his soulful vocals to his mastery of the lead guitar and even his brief stint on the drums, leaving even the maestro himself in awe.
He serenaded the crowd with a string of his classic hits, leaving an indelible mark on the memories of all present. An electrifying Amapiano dance number brought his performance to a fitting crescendo at 5:03 AM, a moment destined to be cherished by both Macheso and his fans.
The festivities had commenced at Palace Hotel in Bulawayo on Good Friday before transitioning seamlessly to Pagomba Café the next day, with Macheso’s backing vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers delivering flawless performances throughout.
