Minister of State for Bulawayo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Judith Ncube has described the deaths of Highlanders Football Club chairman and Premier Soccer League (PSL) vice-chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Sifiso Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza as a tragedy that has cast a dark cloud over Bulawayo, Matabeleland and the nation.
Speaking after visiting Highlanders Football Club offices in Bulawayo on Friday to console the Bosso family, Minister Ncube said the loss of the three senior football administrators had left the province and the country in deep mourning.
She conveyed Government’s heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Highlanders Football Club and the wider football fraternity, saying the trio had served both the club and Zimbabwean football with distinction. She urged the Bosso family to remain united during the difficult period and prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in eternal peace.
