Highlanders FC coach Benjani Mwaruwari has expressed satisfaction with his side’s week-long pre-season training camp in Botswana, describing the mood in camp as positive and focused.
Speaking from the camp, Mwaruwari said the technical team has been encouraged by the players’ attitude and commitment as they intensify preparations for the new season.
“The camp has gone well. The morale in camp is high which is pleasing for a coach. We are working towards getting better and better every day,” said Mwaruwari.
Highlanders left the country on Wednesday for the camp, which is aimed at building fitness levels, tactical cohesion and team chemistry ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Vice-captain Andrew Mbeba travelled with the squad despite yet to sign a new contract. Defender Lawrence Mhlanga, midfielder Kuda Mahachi and goalkeeper Aaron Ngwenya who are also yet to put pen to paper were part of the travelling delegation.
