What Mzoe 7 achieved at the Bulawayo Theatre on Saturday night is a feat that will be remembered for years. His one-man show, “I Am Who I Am”, drew a packed house and delivered a performance that left audiences in awe.

Interestingly, Mzoe 7, is not widely regarded as the most naturally gifted singer or dancer in Bulawayo. Yet, he succeeded where many thought it would be impossible – staging a full-scale, show-stopping performance and attracting a large turnout in a city known for being selective in supporting local talent.

The 300-seater theatre was full, the spotlight firmly on him, as Mzoe 7 demonstrated that talent alone does not define an artiste – hard work does.

Choreographer Saimon Mambazo Phiri, who helped coordinate the event, highlighted the key to Mzoe 7’s success.
“I think most of you would agree that Mzoe 7 is definitely not the most talented singer or dancer in the city. But this young man is the most hardworking artiste we have,” Mambazo told the audience, earning a standing ovation and resounding applause.

Mzoe 7’s achievement proves that dedication, discipline, and relentless effort can eclipse raw talent. His performance was a testament to what consistent hard work, meticulous planning, and unwavering determination can accomplish in the arts scene.

He may not have been born with extraordinary gifts, but through sheer effort, Mzoe 7 turned “I Am Who I Am” into a masterclass in artistry, endurance, and vision, solidifying his place as one of Bulawayo’s most respected and admired performers.
