Heavy rains across Bulawayo have brought much-needed relief to Hillside Dam, with water levels rising as streams feed into the reservoir.

A video shared on the Hillside Dams Conservancy Facebook page, shows water flowing into the dam from one of the feeder streams, a sight that has uplifted the local community.

Conservancy officials said they are hopeful that the inflows will continue, gradually increasing water levels in the main dam and eventually feeding the lower dam as well.

“With the weather forecast for the week looking promising, we are optimistic about a noticeable rise in water levels across the conservancy,” said the Hillside Dams Conservancy. “Nature at work is always a joy to witness, and we thank our community for sharing these special moments with us.”
