AS the original track of Imali Yesigweja continues to gain traction, Fab G MshanakaGogo has tried a hand on one of the most loved genres in the Matabeleland region, rhumba.
The remix named Imali Yesigweja 2.0 is garnering support from music lovers who feel the Afro fusion artiste hit the right chord and is poised for the Song of The Year gong at a number of local radio stations.
The remix production to be released on Saturday was worked on by Neshville at Rockup Studioz while Maroza played the guitar and brought the beat to life.
Fab G MshanakaGogo said through public demand he decided to give a new vibe to the trending track.
“I felt the rhumba feel just adds a whole new level of energy to the track and I wanted to experiment with different sounds and styles as rhumba is such a rich and vibrant genre.
“I’d say it was a mix of my experiences and observations about life, love and hustle in which ogweja tops my list when it comes to hustle thoe the song is metaphoric. Gweja doesnt only point to miners but to everyone working hard to earn a living, That’s what “Imali yesgweja 2.0” is all about – celebrating the wins, no matter how small,” he said.
Fab G MshanakaGogo said he is elated about the success of the original track.
“As for the track’s success, I’m hyped. The response has been amazing and people are vibing with the energy. It’s going viral and I’m getting love from all over. It’s a blessing to see my music connecting with people on a deeper level.
“It’s been a wild ride! The song’s success has opened doors and I’m grateful for the opportunities that are coming my way. It’s validated my hard work and dedication to my craft. I’m just grateful to be doing what I love, and I’m excited to see what the future holds,” said Fab G MshanakaGogo.
