THE queen has landed — and she’s soaring with national pride!

Zimbabwe’s very own Courtney Jongwe is turning heads and winning hearts at the 72nd Miss World pageant in Hyderabad, India — and back home, the support is nothing short of electric.

The former head girl of Midlands Christian College is already a fan favourite in boot camp, rubbing shoulders with over 100 international beauties ahead of the May 31 grand finale. And from the moment she touched down, Courtney has been a walking anthem of grace, intelligence, and cultural pride.

Her alma mater couldn’t hide their pride either. “Soar high like the eagle you are,” gushed MCC in a viral Facebook tribute. “Your grace and passion have always inspired those around you.”

And soar she did.

At the glitzy welcome ceremony held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Courtney stole the spotlight in a stunning traditional brown dress adorned with Zimbabwe Bird symbols, crowned with a bold green hat that screamed “This is Zim!”

Social media lit up like fireworks, with Zimbabweans at home and abroad rallying behind their queen. “You made us proud, girl!” one fan posted. “Courtney is representing more than beauty, she’s carrying the soul of a nation.”

Courtney, humbled and glowing, thanked her supporters: “Let us keep the fire burning.”

Each contestant brought cultural flair to the stage, but it was Courtney’s striking look and magnetic presence that set her apart, earning nods from pageant pundits and Miss World watchers worldwide.

With just weeks to the finale, all eyes are on this Zimbabwean eagle, soaring higher with every step.

Fly, Courtney, fly!
