Renowned South African gospel musician Sipho Makhabane has arrived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe ahead of the 6th anniversary celebrations of Ephphath Church, scheduled for Friday.
Makhabane touched down at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport on Thursday where he was warmly welcomed by the founder of Ephphath Church, Prophet B. Mzingwane, and congregants from various branches.
The celebrations, marking six years since the establishment of the church, will be held in Nketa 9, Bulawayo.
Prophet Mzingwane said the church was honoured to host the award-winning gospel star, whose music has touched many across the continent.
“Our 6th anniversary is a great milestone and having Baba Sipho Makhabane grace this occasion is a huge blessing for our ministry and the people of Bulawayo,” he said.
Scores of church members who gathered at the airport ululated and sang as they welcomed the gospel legend.
