CEPHAS Sibanda a former Highlanders, Olympics and Red Seal striker says he owes his life to Lucky Dube an ex Dynamos goalkeeper.
Sibanda says he could have been in the train that derailed on Christmas eve in 1983 and killed 23 people.
The accident happened between Hwange and Dete and remains among the worst train disasters.
Sibanda was due to travel to Hwange to be with his family over Christmas holidays.

Dube, who was having an engagement party over the period, stopped Sibanda from traveling.
Sibanda says anything could have happened to him.
Sibanda was among former footballers at Dube’s tombstone unveiling ceremony in Bulawayo on Saturday.
