Madodana ‘Horsepower’ Tshabangu’s legacy lives on with a tournament held at Njube Grounds in Bulawayo on Sunday in his memory.

Tshabangu, a popular off-season soccer tournament organiser since 1997, died in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 23 December 2024.

He was buried at Lady Stanley Cemetery alongside other prominent football personalities like Barry Daka, Tymon Mabaleka, Willard Khumalo, and Jonathan Moyo.

His son, Maradona Tshabangu, said they had seen it fit to celebrate their father with football and bring Bulawayo and Njube people together.
