MANCHESTER UNITED must be patient and precise in their match against Wolves at Molineux, warned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while the manager also admitted he’s concerned about Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez.
Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is expecting a tough match against Wolves in the Premier League on tonight (8PM).
Remaining patient, but also being clinical in the final third, are both crucial to United picking up three points, he said.
Wolves are very good at counter-attacking, and United also can’t get complacent at the back.
The Red Devils head into the match brimming with confidence after their 4-0 victory over Chelsea last weekend.
But, Wolves have been tipped by some pundits to win the match, after an excellent first season in the top flight last year.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side picked up four points form their clashes against United last season, and Solskjaer is very aware of the threat they pose having also been knocked out of the FA Cup by Wolves.
“They were two tough games last season; we knew that because they are so hard to break down, they lie low, defend deep and are very good at counter-attacking,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“They have pace up-front with Jota and Jimenez who are two of the quickest forwards in the league, deceivingly quick. “Those two up-front will always cause you bother, especially when they’ve got the passing ability of (Ruben) Neves, (Joao) Moutinho, and (Conor) Coady from the back.
“We experienced bad times there last season so we know that we’ve got to improve, but we are better now.
“We’ve got to be precise, we know we won’t get a lot of opportunity to counter-attack.
“We’re going to have to be good on the ball, be patient and create enough openings.”
