NEWLY promoted ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League side Highrange director Weyne “Boss Webba” Zimunya says they are not in the league to add numbers.

The businessman, who co-owns the team with his brother Kuziwa, was happy after they won the Harare Province Division Two A and B playoffs against Scottland U-19 at Rufaro on Sunday.

Highrange had finished leading the Division Two A league standings and managed to get the Harare Province League sole ticket of promotion to ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League for 2026 season.

“We are happy that we managed to win the promotion playoffs and we are going to take part in the Northern Region come 2026. We are not here to add numbers but to compete and push for Premiership promotion,” said Zimunya.

“We started the project as a social team but after some few years we have since turned professional and we are going to maintain the status. We are aware that ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League is one of the most competitive, but we have already proved that we belong to a more competitive league.”

Highrange have brought on board some of the highly rated coaches Sheppard Mudada and Dananai Chinovava to steer the ship.

“We have so much love for the game as former players that is why we brought in some experienced coaches. The project started in Mutare where we used to play for teams like Buffaloes and Tenax but we later moved to Harare and we took on board Mudada and Chinovava who played soccer at the highest level especially in the ZIFA Eastern Region Soccer League,” said Zimunya.
