DYNAMOS captain, Shadreck Nyahwa, says the Glamour Boys will not throw in the towel, in the title race, until the fat lady sings.
DeMbare messed up their chances after picking just a point in their last two league games.
While the 1-1 draw against champions Scottland was acceptable, the 0-1 loss at the hands of Chicken Inn was a major setback.
“Chicken Inn have always been a bogey side for Dynamos, especially at Rufaro,” said Nyahwa.
“We spoke about it as a team because we know this is something that has happened before.
“But we cannot continue dwelling on the result.
“We have to take the lessons from the game and move forward.”
Nyahwa said Dynamos will continue fighting until the end while concentrating on securing maximum points from their remaining matches.
“Our chances are slim but, as Dynamos, we do not give up.
“We still have games to play and we have to focus on winning those games.
“We cannot control what other teams are doing, we can only control our own performances,” he said.
The veteran midfielder said the team’s attention would also turn to the Chibuku Super Cup.
Dynamos are aiming to win the trophy for a fourth consecutive year.
“The Chibuku Super Cup is also very important to us.
“We want to defend it for the fourth consecutive time and that is a big motivation for everyone in the team.
“We know what it means to the supporters and to the club. We have to prepare well and approach every game with the mentality of champions.”
Nyahwa said the Chicken Inn defeat should serve as a lesson rather than become a distraction.
“We have discussed the game among ourselves and we know where we need to improve.
“The important thing now is to focus on the upcoming games. We have to stay together, work hard and make sure we respond positively.
“As captain, I have to keep encouraging the boys. We have to remain united because there is still something to fight for this season.”
