HIGHLANDERS FC may be on a two-game losing run but captains Ariel Sibanda and Peter Muduhwa have vowed not to make it three when they face Dynamos at Barbourfields on Sunday.
Bosso went on a 19-game unbeaten run before back-to-back 2-0 losses against FC Platinum and Chicken Inn.
They are now desperate to bounce back to winning ways away to their bitter rivals but using their traditional home.
Bosso captain’s Sibanda and Muduhwa addressed the media yesterday ahead of the epic clash and assured they are ready for the task at hand.
“Whether we are playing in Mount Darwin or in Inyanga the venue does not matter. The one who wants it more on the day will win. We have to go there and fight.
“Against Chicken Inn we fought but we did not do enough. But in this one, we have to fight. We should not look at where we are playing but this is why I am saying the fans must also come in their numbers.
“I think it’s going to be an interesting game looking at the form guide of both teams. What I want to urge our supporters about is that they are going to play a big part in that game.
“I urge them to come in their numbers. If you look at it they have been coming in their numbers for our matches and the results have improved. They deserve to be happy on Sunday,” said Sibanda.
His deputy, Muduhwa promised fans they would give it their all come Sunday.
“We have to move on and start winning games starting on Sunday. We are in this together coaches, players and the Highlanders fans. We can’t blame each other. We are in this together.
“As senior players, it’s our duty to encourage the players to pick themselves up. No one wants to lose to Dynamos, the fans also don’t want to lose to Dynamos. We can promise them that we won’t lose to Dynamos,” said Muduhwa.
The reverse fixture played again at Barbourfields Stadium ended in a nil-all stalemate.
Going into this game, Dynamos are enjoying better form as they are unbeaten in their last five matches winning three and managing two stalemates.
The cheapest ticket will go for $5, while the VIP and the VVIP is going for $10 and $15, respectively. Kick-off is at 3pm CAT.
The match is going to be live on ZTN Prime.
