THE ECONOMIC Freedom Fighters (EFF) Zimbabwe Chapter has promised to work closely with the Government to safeguard reforms and the interests of the country that have been implemented by the Second Republic.
EFF Zimbabwe leader Mr Innocent Ndibali said as a party their vision was anchored on development, saying the country is on course to achieve Vision 2030 through economic reforms being implemented by the Second Republic under the leadership of President Mnangagwa.
Mr Ndibali said as the EFF they shared similar interests as that of President Mnangagwa whose vision is to develop the country into an Upper-Middle-Income economy by the year 2030.
“We will work with the President Mnangagwa and his Government. We may share different views as political parties but our position is to work with the leader of the Government of the day. We seek to develop this country and no one will do that for us unless we do it as a united people. Therefore as EFF Zimbabwe we will fight for a better Zimbabwe and support all sound policies implemented by the Government. Our leadership commits to continue backing the Government’s pro-people efforts,” said Mr Ndibali.
He said once the election process is over, his party will engage Government to find ways of working together to develop the country.
“We are here to defend what is correct for our country. We also believe that the attainment of an upper middle-income economy by 2030 is a correct vision. We fully support such efforts. The progress that our Government is making is impressive,” he said.
Mr Ndibali said the ruling party Zanu-PF has opened political space to allow other political parties to participate in politics which shows there is democracy in the country.
He said the Government’s engagement and re-engagement policy was paying dividends as the country is now enjoying improved international relations with most countries except a few Western countries.
