We won’t win Gauteng, but we will not work with the EFF – DA

Provincial DA leader, John Moodey, says the party will not win the majority vote in the province.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Gauteng has acceded that they will not win a majority in the province, but says they will not enter into a coalition with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

This comes after the SABC and the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) called the provincial results of the 2014 elections, predicting that the ANC will retain the majority share of Gauteng.

According to provincial DA leader, John Moodey, they do not agree with this percentage prediction, which sets the DA support at roughly 29 percent, but he has acceded that they will not win the majority vote in the province. According to Moodey, they hope for a final result of 35 percent, but he stressed that the party will not enter into a coalition with the EFF as their economic principles and ideals are too different.-SABC NEWS
