wedding of the week…Wedding of Tinashe Chinembiri and Bahile Nkwate Mdlongwa

Tied the knot August 6, 2022.

We chose Mystique Events because we wanted a rustic feel.

 How did you meet?

We met through my cousin in 2015, but we only started dating in 2017 after “ghosting” each other for two years. She claims I was not serious.

 How did you propose?

I never actually proposed, I just asked to visit her aunt and then started preparations for lobola.

Did you face any challenges preparing for the wedding?

Not anything worth writing home about apart from Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. We had to postpone our wedding several times from October 31, 2020. We kept changing the dates until we decided to do a court union on April 30, 2021. Eventually, we had our big celebration on August 6, 2022.

Wedding colours Black, gold, olive green and white.

The wedding dress The bride and bridesmaids were dressed by our sister Thapelo who did the running in Turkey for all the dresses and accessories.

The bridal team Was a 10-member group made up of our childhood friends and siblings. Five members were brought from each side.

The cake was baked and designed by Elegant Cakes.

Guest list We had initially planned for 200 people but that number almost doubled because people came out to celebrate with us.

Photography was provided by Our dear friend, Ernest Mackina.

 MCλ Cde Phil.

Entertainment was provided by DJ Flawless. Prosper and his band really carried the day and they deserve a special mention.

 BudgetλWe’d rather not tell.
