MUTARE is turning up the heat this weekend with DJ clashes, themed parties, live jazz and pool action lined up across the city. From the DJ Cup Clash at Gullivers Nite Club to Chitsa’s three-day entertainment package, revellers have plenty to keep them moving from Friday through Sunday.
Gullivers Nite Club
The upmarket nightspot is lining up a potentially scintillating DJ Cup Clash on Saturday, with Apple D and DJ Nasty going head-to-head with Selecta Squad’s DJ Linxman and DJ Manyama. The Mutare-based Selecta Squad will bring its energetic sound to the contest, with DJ Jerry and MC Njeu adding further firepower to an evening expected to keep the dance floor buzzing.
Chitsa Bar and Liquids
The joint at Boka Business Centre in Dangamvura is pulling out all the stops with a three-day entertainment package designed to keep the weekend moving from Friday to Sunday. TGIF Friday gets proceedings off to a lively start with DJ Stixxie, Popinjo and MC Dollar taking over with a cocktail of infectious beats and crowd favourites. The trio returns for Saturday Madness, promising another high-energy session, before Sunday Revival takes revellers down memory lane with a selection of timeless Old School classics. It is a packed three-day programme built around music, dancing and good company.
Mutare Bar
The city-centre joint, situated adjacent to the old Chikanga Rank, will host Zincyard and Smokes on Friday and Saturday for a show dubbed Boys Weekend Out. With the two performers expected to bring their distinctive energy, patrons can look forward to a weekend of music, entertainment and socialising.
Platinum Nite Club
The Muchena Business Centre-based entertainment spot in Penhalonga is preparing for a Massive Ladies Night headlined by the formidable duo of Zincyard and Smokes. Resident DJ Taps will also be behind the decks, adding his own selection of party anthems to an evening designed to give the ladies a memorable night.
Pahukama Bar
Music and sport will share the spotlight at Pahukama this Sunday when the home pool team hosts Mahoya in a Mutare Pool League encounter. Selected DJs will provide the soundtrack as pool enthusiasts and entertainment lovers converge for what promises to be a lively sporting and social afternoon.
