Monday

President Mnangagwa has challenged the country to recalibrate its national interest in response to dynamic global circumstances and evolving international economic relations. 

In his address at a strategic seminar for ZANU PF Central Committee members in Gweru on Friday last week, the President, who is also the ruling party’s First Secretary, said the recalibration is especially vital in areas that include trade, innovation, science and technology development, culture and heritage, national defence, as well as peace and security.

Tuesday

The country’s provinces registered notable economic growth and infrastructure development during the implementation of National Development Strategy 1 between 2021 and 2025.

Mining and agriculture emerged as the dominant drivers of growth in most regions.

Wednesday

Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Constitutional Amendment No. 3 Bill of 2026, which proposes a parliamentary process for the election of the President and seeks to replace the current five-year term with a seven-year term.

The Bill also introduces a raft of reforms aimed at strengthening constitutional governance, clarifying institutional roles, promoting political stability and enhancing the efficiency of the State architecture.

Thursday

ZANU PF must implement resolutions designed to transform people’s lives while planning for prosperity beyond electoral timelines, the revolutionary party’s President and First Secretary, Cde Mnangagwa, has said.

Friday

Zimbabwe’s economy is projected to grow by 8,5 percent this year, more than the initial 5 percent estimate, driven by mining, policy reforms and renewed global engagement and re-engagement.
