Thousands of ZANU PF supporters yesterday attended Thank You rallies across Zimbabwe to celebrate the enactment of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment No. 3 Act.
The ruling party hailed the legislation as a milestone for political stability, good governance and national development.

Tax relief measures, lower bank charges and Government policies requiring the use of Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) for selected tax payments are driving increased adoption of the local currency, with ZiG transactions peaking at 45 percent of all national payments in recent months, Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Permanent Secretary Mr George Guvamatanga has said.
Mr Guvamatanga said a combination of fiscal and monetary measures had strengthened demand for the local currency and encouraged both individuals and businesses to transact in ZiG.

Zimbabwe recorded an 84 percent surge in mineral export revenue in the first half of 2026, generating a record US$2,532 billion from US$1,376 billion in the same period last year, the latest official statistics show.
In a statement, Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ) general manager Dr Nomsa Moyo attributed the revenue increase to rising global market demand, favourable commodity prices and the practical implementation of Zimbabwe’s domestic mineral processing policy.

The Government has prioritised women empowerment through funding projects, expanding maternal healthcare services and increasing their participation in decision-making positions, President Mnangagwa has said.
The Second Republic, he said, has also enhanced women’s representation in governance through the creation of a women’s quota in Parliament and local authorities.

Zimbabwe’s manufacturing sector will be an industrial hub for regional, continental and international markets as the Government facilitates the implementation of its industrialisation agenda and accompanying institutional reforms, President Mnangagwa has said.
The country’s future, he said, remained bright, with the ongoing industrialisation presenting the country with an opportunity to build competitive industries while preserving its natural heritage for future generations.
