The late former Vice President and national hero Dr Simon Vengai Muzenda was a fearless revolutionary whose lifelong commitment to Zimbabwe’s liberation and development continues to inspire present and future generations, President Mnangagwa has said.
He made the remarks in a message on Sunday commemorating the 23rd anniversary of Cde Muzenda’s death.

Speaking to the media after meeting United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the President said African countries were attending the gathering as a united continent.

Development acquires its fullest meaning when every person and nation has a genuine opportunity to shape their course and share the benefits, President Mnangagwa said on Wednesday.
Addressing the high-level meeting to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Declaration on the Right to Development, President Mnangagwa said development was a basic human right for all, rather than a privilege for a few within and among nations.

Google vice president for research, technology and society Mr James Manyika paid a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa in New York on Thursday on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, with discussions focusing on advancing Zimbabwe’s digital landscape and strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence, and information and communication technology.
