Wenger lauds Theo

LONDON. — Arsene Wenger has been speaking about Theo Walcott’s progression since he joined Arsenal as a teenager in 2006. Walcott moved to north London 10 years ago yesterday, joining the Gunners from Southampton aged just 16.

Walcott’s final product was often questioned during his formative years at the Emirates, but Wenger believes that is something he has improved during his decade in north London.“Theo is very intelligent,” Wenger told Arsenal Player. “He always had pace and his movement off the ball was always perfect. I think he is much more conscious of teamwork and he has improved as well in his finishing. He is absolutely deadly compared to 10 years ago.“ — The Mirror.
