PARIS. — Self-confessed Arsenal loving Moussa Sissoko has been described as “remarkable” by Arsene Wenger following his exploits at Euro 2016.
Sissoko, who last month claimed Arsenal were the “club of his heart”, has shrugged off the disappointment of suffering relegation with Newcastle to establish himself as a crucial part of Didier Deschamps’ France side and was named in the starting XI for Sunday night’s European Championship final against Portugal.
“Football is made of opinions, and it is important not to be ashamed of being wrong,” said Wenger. “The evidence is that I have been in football for 40 years and I’m still wrong.
“It is true that Sissoko has been remarkable. One could have asked the question before the [Germany] game: does (N’Golo) Kante come into the eleven?” — AFP.
